Bonne Annèe
I’d just like to welcome everyone to the new year. It’s a time when people make their revolutions for what they’d like to accomplish for the upcoming year. I have a few revolutions of my own that I’d like to work towards. I’d like to share a few of them with you. I won’t share all of them because some of them are quite personal in nature and it’s really not any of your business. I hope you understand.
What I’d like to do in 2006:
- Learn to Swim
The Problem: I’ve been putting it off for years. I’m 21 years old and the best I can do is flail wildly in the water.
Proposed Solution: I’ve signed myself up for swimming classes at school, so I have no choice but to learn how to swim or fail yet another class. - Become Better Read
The Problem: I know some stuff. However the more I learn the more I realize that I really don’t know. I don’t particularly enjoy coming up short in discussions.
Proposed Solution: I’m going to start reading at least one new book every month and writing up a short book report here. Look for my overview of “The Millionaire Next Door” in the coming weeks. - Learn to Climb:
The Problem: I want to learn to rock climb. I don’t spend enough time doing physical activities. I spend most of my time sitting around on my ass staring at my computer screen or the television. It’s sickening.
Proposed Solution: I’m going to recruit my friend Igor and we are going to go and hit the local rock climbing wall. I’m going to try and go at least monthly. Life’s too short to not do anything. - Learn to Sail:
The Problem: See “Learn To Climb”
Proposed Solution: When the weather gets a bit more amiable I’m going to go to Community Boating Inc. and sign myself up for the beginner’s classes (since I’ll know how to swim around that time).
Assuming that there won’t be any catastrophic instances in the next few months, I plan to accomplish each of the items listed as well as a few that I don’t have listed here. I’ll also try and write here just a bit more often.
What are your resolutions?

Yo! It’s about time you changed your site around and started posting more. I’ll be watching, so don’t slack.
